About Us

Owner: Lee Owsley

Creating and running Latitudes has been a perfect storm that marries social action, creativity, beauty, culture, travel, and community for Lee. She is still excited to unpack each new order as it comes in and meet new people from the community and during her travels. She loves working with her family and enjoys the focus which has brought them all closer together. She and her husband, Terry,  live a short walk from the store and not far from any of their 4 married children and grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys her own creative process which is creating art quilts.

Owner: Terry Owsley

Terry left the corporate world in 2014 and started a Latitudes store in Fredericksburg, VA. He had always been involved on weekends and holidays with Lee's store in Warrenton and taking Fair Trade trips to visit artisans groups in different parts of the world, so it was a natural transition for him to open his own store as a second career. In 2021, having reached the ripe old age of 65, Terry sold that store to a good friend who also wanted to leave the corporate world for work with a higher purpose. Now Terry enjoys helping out several days a week in the Warrenton store and being able to live and work in the same community. The mission of Fair Trade continues to bring Terry joy in helping to make the world a better place.

Assistant Manager: Kelsey Neale

Kelsey is the second oldest of Terry and Lee's 4 children. She has been a supporter and/or employee of Latitudes in Warrenton since its birth in 2010. Over the years she has enjoyed working in the community she grew up in and the eye-opening education of fair trade. She loves the textures and colors of the products that come in and has a deep appreciation for the thought and energy that goes into creating them. She loves Fair Trade for its resounding and humane ripple effect that engenders greater appreciation and value for one another. She lives near Warrenton with her husband and 2 daughters.
