About Us

Owner: Kelsey Neale

A supporter of the store since its birth in 2010, and after 12 years as a staff member, Kelsey became the owner of the Warrenton Latitudes in 2025. She is the second oldest of four to her parents, Lee and Terry, the founders of Latitudes Fair Trade. Kelsey enjoys working in the community she grew up in and the eye-opening education of fair trade. She loves the textures and colors of the products and has a deep appreciation for the thought and energy that goes into creating them. She loves Fair Trade for its resounding and humane ripple effect that engenders greater appreciation and value for one another. She lives near Warrenton with her husband and 2 daughters.

Founder: Lee Owsley

Creating and running Latitudes was the perfect storm that married Lee's passion for social action, creativity, beauty, culture, travel, and community. After 15 years of ownership and witnessing the opening of two more Latitudes, Lee retired in 2025. She now enjoys spending time with her four married children and her grandchildren. In her free time, she also enjoys her own creative process, creating art quilts.

Founding Partner: Terry Owsley

Terry left the corporate world in 2014 and started the Latitudes store in Fredericksburg, VA. After helping with the Warrenton store and attending artisan trips around the world, opening another Latitudes was a natural transition for him. In 2021, he was able to spread the same joy he experienced years before and sold the Fredericksburg store to a good friend who sought to leave the corporate world for more meaningful work. The mission of Fair Trade continues to bring Terry joy in helping to make the world a better place.
