Owners: Chris and Lori
As their three sons began to leave the nest, Chris and Lori saw an opportunity to make a career change that they knew would be exciting and rewarding. They had always been supporters of the original Latitudes store and its mission of giving back to others all over the world, and in 2021 they made the decision to take a leap of faith to ‘follow their heart’. Chris and Lori take satisfaction in knowing that they are contributing to something much larger than themselves that has a direct impact on making life better for families around the globe. This unique opportunity has allowed them to build relationships and share the stories of Latitudes’ artisans in an effort to educate others about the impact that buying fair trade can make. Chris and Lori look forward to expanding their travels to meet the talented artisans and their families who are directly supported through the fair trade model. Chris is active in the daily operations and Lori is a full time middle-school teacher, who enjoys being a part of the business during the summer when she can spend more time in Latitudes!
Terri’s career started in graphic design and photography, and in 2007 she made the rewarding transition to a career in fair trade. It was here that her appreciation for visual art was able to merge with her respect for artists in a way that promoted and supported social, economic, and environmental justice. She enjoys her role applying her creative skills, while doing work that makes a difference for producers around the world. In 2014, Terri was an integral part of opening the store in Fredericksburg and she is proud to see Latitudes grow and the fair trade model become a part of downtown - and ‘she has not wanted to be anywhere else since!’
