It was then separated by color, spun into new threads, over-dyed, and woven into a cozy pattern on traditional looms.

Since 1976, SERRV International has partnered with artisans in India, providing a long-term trading partnership. Through sales of their products, over 800 artisans in more than 50 cooperatives and family workshops throughout India receive needed income, interest-free loans, business and computer training, and advances to purchase raw materials. They also receive the support of welfare workers who help provide health clinics, education for children, increased sanitation, and improved living conditions.
